Cookies and storage

Website code and hosting

Ancestrum's own code does not set cookies or include advertising, added analytics or embedded external content. Images and fonts are served from the same website. OpenAI's infrastructure may process technical logs and automatic traffic statistics, as explained in Privacy; this is separate from the application's language storage.

Hosting security cookie

A public check of the hosting on 23 October 2026 observed Cloudflare's __cf_bm cookie. It helps distinguish automated traffic and protect the service; it is not an advertising cookie added by Ancestrum. According to Cloudflare, it expires after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity. The infrastructure may set it even though the website's own code does not create cookies.

Language preference

When you choose a language, the ancestrum-language key is saved in your browser's local storage with one of these values: es, pt, en, fr, de, pl or it. Its sole purpose is to remember your chosen language. It is not used for advertising and does not store a delivery country.

When you enter through the main address, that saved choice is used. If there is none, the website looks for a supported language in your browser preferences and otherwise displays Spanish. Detection does not use geolocation or save a preference. A direct language link keeps its version.

The preference remains until you change it or delete the website's data; it does not expire automatically. It is not saved when the page loads or when you click a purchase link.

How to delete the preference

In your browser settings, open website data or storage and delete the data for this domain. The next visit through the main address will again use a supported browser language or Spanish.

Links and changes

Amazon and Instagram open only if you follow their links, and their own policies apply. The Gmail account is used when you write to the contact address; no Google content is embedded on the website.

If tools using storage or cookies for other purposes are added, this information will be updated and any applicable consent controls will be put in place before activation.
